CLUB MANILA EAST BIRTHDAY TREAT

by Wandering Attercop

As a treat for my daughter, Mana 's 9th birthday last August, we went to Club Manila East (CME)in Taytay, Rizal. It was her first time to go there. It was a Saturday and we paid P 375 entrance fee. You can choose from different cottages depending on the number of guests, but since there were only the 3 of us and it is off-peak season, we just took the free umbrella table. For me, it was my second time here. The first was a summer 2 years ago as my friend's birthday celebration.

Mana was so excited that after changing to her swimsuit she hurried to the kiddie pool. The kiddie pool has a shallow water, colorful umbrellas, fountains and small slide. At first, Mana was the only kid on the pool but after a while other kids (and adults) arrived. I, myself, enjoyed the kiddie pool, especially the slide. It is one of the best pools where you can spend bonding moments with your small kids.

Beside the kiddie pool is another pool where you can ride the kayak. We did not try it because small children are not allowed here and it is 6 feet deep. I tried it on my first visit to CME and it was fun.

Then we went to the Beach Wave pool. It is one of the pools that has waves. When we arrived, the waves started. The other side is where they conduct surfing lessons. If you are interested to learn how to surf, you will just have to inquire at the registration office.

Other pools are closed. It may be because it is off-peak season. So we went back to the kiddie pool.

It was nearly lunch time so we went to the cafeteria. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the resort. There are fast foods available in the cafeteria. During that day, only Chowking and Shakey's are open but during peak season there are a lot of food variety to choose from.

As I walk around the resort, I noticed that there are enough safety signs for the guests. Also, I was able to see the other cottages, cabanas and multipurpose halls for special occasions.

Later in the afternoon, we tried to check the other pools. The 3 pools are already open and the waves already started in one of them. Mana ran quickly to enjoy the waves with the other kids. The surfers were also there on the other side of the pool.

Nearby is a pool for diving and it is 14 feet deep. You can try this for a great experience. It has 3 diving platforms depending on how high you want to start your dive from. There is also zipline in the resort.

Mana had fun but it is time to go home. Before we went to our umbrella she tried one of the showers. Just before we left he resort, it rained hard

Club Manila East is one of the best resorts near Metro Manila for the whole family and barkada. If you don't have your own car, you can take the G-Liner/RRCG bus from Quiapo going to Taytay and a multicab going to the resort. For the rates, wave schedule and other information you may check their website: http://www.clubmanilaeast.com/
