Resignation Letter, sample resignation letter

I have recently submitted my reignation letter to my manager. I have been with the company for more than 3 years. My original plan was to resign right after my graduation which was April of 2011. I was a working student for the past 2 years that iv'e been with the company. Although this wasn't my first time writing a resignation letter, I've never confident with writing formal letters even if it is just a simple resignation letter. So I went to google and found one. I just added some additional details but according to most of the results it should be short and simple. So this was I submitted lol. This can probably hel p you out when you plan on writing your own lol.

I would like to inform you that I am resigning from my position as Client Service Representative for (company name), effective December 17, 2012.

Thank you for the opportunities for professional and personal development that the management has provided me during the last three years of my stay specially the time that I’ve been a working student for two years. I wanted to explore my opportunities in putting up my own business which I have been planning since before my graduation last. I have enjoyed working for Chase and appreciate the support provided to me during my tenure with the company.
